February 7, 2004 marks 40 years ago that Rock 'N Roll music and haircuts were forever changed as four young men from Liverpool arrived in America.
"The Beatles", John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr touched down at JFK Airport in New York City on February 7th, 1964 and a new term was added to the English language: Beatlemania.
102.9 WMGK-FM, Philadelphia will commemorate this historic music event with a special live event Sunday, February 8th.
WMGK personality Andre Gardner will begin the day by broadcasting his award-winning Sunday morning "Breakfast with the Beatles" program on remote location.
Also featured will be a live performance from the Beatles' look-alike/tribute band, "Beatlemania Revisited" and vendors of rare and highly collectible items will also be there.
The event will also include trivia contests, door prizes, 5:1 surround sound demonstrations of reissued Beatles material and a full-day broadcast by 102.9 WMGK. |
